Rooted in riding. Built for everyone.

More than a trail.
A way to belong.

A good trail connects more than two points on a map. It connects neighbors, opens a door to the outdoors, and gives us something worth caring for together.

That’s the work of Cloud City Wheelers: creating, enhancing, preserving, and promoting trail and cycling opportunities in Leadville and Lake County.

Our story starts in 2007.

Cloud City Wheelers began in 2007 when a dedicated group of cyclists saw the need for an organized voice in Leadville and Lake County. Inspired by the original Cloud City Wheelmen of the 1800s, we bring the community together through riding and care for the places we love.

From family and adult group rides to grassroots races, ride-to-work days, volunteer projects, trail building, and maintenance, our work helps people get outside while strengthening the local economy.
